Born in Louisiana and adopted between 1980 - 2002?
Are you an adoptee born in Louisiana and searching for your birth parents? Or did you surrender a baby born in Louisiana during 1984-1995? If so, I can help you reunite with your family. I’ve reunited over 89 of these adoption cases in Louisiana. I helped one adoptee born during this time frame and uncovered hundreds more that were taken during that time and location. For birth mothers – did you answer an ad in the newspaper and were sent to Louisiana to give birth during 1980-2002?
Did an attorney or doctor advise you to go to Louisiana to give birth? Did you give birth in Eunice, Mamou, Opelousas, Lafayette, Monroe, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, or elsewhere in Louisiana? A partial list of attorneys that assisted with the adoptions was Kent DeJean, Kenneth Pitre, A. BrRozas, McGee, Manuel, Nina Broyles (Special Delivery Adoptions), and H. Michael Aaron. A partial list of the hospitals used are Moosa, Savoy, and Woman’s Hospitals. Most of the children were sent or adopted into families that lived on the East Coast. Some children remained in Louisiana, but the majority did not stay in Louisiana.
The adoption laws were lax during that time in Louisiana, allowing pregnant women to be taken to Louisiana, give birth, and then send the children to awaiting families. ** These adoptions were not illegal; the families and attorneys just used the loose adoption laws in Louisiana to get around waiting years on adoption lists in other states. Birth mothers needed help, and families wanted babies. We have a support group on Facebook entitled Gitelman Louisiana Adoption. Contact Allen Investigations if we can help you with your search.

Another name associated with the adoptions was a baby broker named Richard Gitelman, aka Richard Gettleman Richard Gittelman, and he owned a baby broker business called National Adoption Agency. He lived in Florida and connected with many East Coast families. Many of these children were adopted and taken to New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
Richard Gitelman published ads in the newspapers nationwide to find pregnant women who needed care and support during their pregnancy. In return, Richard Gitelman would place the child in a family that he or the other lawyers preselected. ** These adoptions were not illegal; the families and attorneys just used the loose adoption laws in Louisiana to get around waiting years on adoption lists in other states.
